ILEANNA SAWYER
I’m a creative director–level marketer and storyteller with over a decade of experience shaping high-impact campaigns across television, film, and streaming. At FX Networks, I’ve been a driving force behind the creative launches of acclaimed series including Shōgun, Dying for Sex, The Bear, Mayans, What We Do in the Shadows, The Patient, and more. My work has been recognized with Clio Gold, Silver, and Bronze, as well as GEMA Gold.
Before joining FX, I built my creative foundation in theatrical marketing, contributing to the launches of major studio films such as Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Silence, The Foreigner, Ferdinand, The Boss Baby, and The Upside. I bring a blend of editorial craft, audience insight, and cross-platform expertise to every campaign I lead.
As a leader, I foster a culture of trust and creative bravery, balancing high standards with deep respect for the unique strengths of my team. I’m known for a collaborative approach and for bringing people into alignment around bold ideas and thoughtful execution. I recently completed Promax Thrive, a year-long immersive leadership program focused on developing strategic, innovative, and conscious creative leaders.
As a proud Mexican American, I’m committed to expanding access and representation in entertainment marketing. I sit on FX’s Corporate Talent Development think tank and have served as Co-President and Advisor for Soapbox Women. I also mentor emerging talent through organizations like Good City Mentors and Revision Movement.
I earned my Master of Fine Arts in Poetry from Pacific University, a grounding influence on both my storytelling style and creative perspective. I live in Los Angeles with my husband and our two adventurous girls. I recharge with fresh air, a little stillness, and meals that turn into long, lively conversations with my favorite people.
